On his daughter's death certificate Richard's occupation was Sea Captain.
On his marriage to Fanny he states his occupation as Master Mariner and he lived St. Clement Danes Middlesex.
On 26 Jul 1893 Richard was declared Bankrupt, Ernest Robert Abigail of Newtown
was the plaintiff Richard was living at Canterbury total cost 6 pounds 6
shillings. Occupation Wood Cutter. On 13 Jun 1893 Richard was residing at Debtors prison Darlinghurst his usual residence being George St. Belmore.

In 1886 Richard occupation was Coal Merchant living at Balmain.
In 1873 at his marriage Richard residence was Gulgong occupation Gold Miner.
I have been told that when he was in Sydney he boarded with the Coss family at Balmain and this is where of course he met Elizabeth. Witness to the marriage where John Coss and Mrs. King.
At the time of his daughters marriage in 1903 Richard was a Retired Mariner,
living Waterloo.
I was told by Kevin Robinson, that he remembers his mother telling him about
Richard he always wore a white shirt button to the neck.

address his wife Elizabeth Grace and son Joseph who's occupation was Dealer.
I have put this photo as Richard Fathers Penfold as I feel it fits his profile. It was given to me as John (Arthur) Robinson but I now have a more recent Photo and they do not look the same. I will try to get the photo's verified.
